Assos is a well-organized tourist resort with tavernas and restaurants, cafes, a mini-market shop and a tourist shop. At the little harbour there is a pier of boat vessels.

Yet your holidays do not stop here. Within 20-25 minutes by car you can always visit the beautiful and cosmopolitan Fiskardo situated at the northernmost part of the island. At Fiskardo there are ferry links with the islands of Lefkada and Ithaca.

Close to Fiskardo there is the small and beautiful pebbly beach of Emblissi. It is worth visiting it and swimming in its crystal clear waters.

Traveling south from Assos (west part of the island) within 20 minutes by car you can reach Myrtos beach, one of the ten best Mediterranean Beaches! Its deep blue waters, the white sand and the magnificent view from the top of the road will impress you.

Last but not least, a boat tour at the Melissani cave is a must. The cave is at the village of Karavomilos, near touristic Sami.
